If you cannot find the tross rod:
As desribed in the technical instructions the tross rod of most TAMA steel strings is hidden under the nut. There are models like TK or TM series that have an extra cover on the headstock. Please have a look at the X-ray pictures made by Bob Cleveland. Thank you for the permission to show them here on my site.
